Welcome! I’m Kim, creator and author of Give it Some Thyme.  So glad you dropped in!

This is our family food blog, cataloguing a growing collection of approachable, crowd-pleasing, and most-requested recipes for the everyday home chef. Here, past and present fuse deliciously into dishes you’ll make well into the future. Everything you see has been made several times and taste-tested by a rather finicky panel of family and friends.

I’m self-taught and inspired by a vast collection of food magazines, cookbooks, and three generations of recipe binders. My initial interest in cooking started when Mom had to pull a chair up to the counter so I could see in the bowl. As I grew, so did a passion for great food. I’ve always loved food television, from PBS syndication of Julia Child and Graham Kerr to present day Food Network with Bobby, Ina, Rachael, and of course, Emeril. In full disclosure, we watched so much Emeril Live when my now 18-year-old son was a baby, one of his first words was ‘BAM!’.

My husband and I live in New Jersey with our two kids and rescue pup, Colby. Before launching Give it Some Thyme, I was an investment consultant for institutions and high-net-worth families for over 20 years. My professional life in finance paralleled personal passions for food and fitness.  When not in the kitchen or carpooling, I love to run and cross train. I believe in living a fun, active, healthy(ish) lifestyle. Strike the balance that works for you!
