GRILLED Black Bean Burgers

Healthy vegan recipe full of sweet n’ spicy southwestern flavor!

Delicious hearty veggie burgers that don't fall apart and can be grilled! Perfect for Father's Day!

What You'll Need: Black Beans Brown Rice Onion Walnuts Panko BBQ Sauce Brown Sugar Cumin Chili Powder Paprika Garlic Powder Red Pepper Flakes

Toast Walnuts


In a dry skillet, toast the walnuts a few minutes until fragrant.

Cook onion


Sauté onion in same skillet as the walnuts until softened.

mash black beans


With a potato masher or large fork, smash the beans leaving about half of them whole.

Process nuts, brown sugar and spices into fine crumbs.

Thoroughly combine beans, bbq sauce, panko, nut mixture and onions.


Firmly mold the burgers and refrigerate 30 minutes for best results!

Grill over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side.
